Shortly before midnight, at 23:30, one of the Greek news sites received a message about a bomb planted on the territory of the Evelpidon court (Δικαστήρια της Ευελπίδων). ΕΛΑΣ was alerted.
The unknown person warned that the explosive device would go off in 25 minutes, exactly at midnight. The area was immediately cordoned off by reinforced police squads. A team of specialists from the Department of Ordnance Disposal (TEEM) carefully checked the area.
No suspicious items were found. However, a backpack with an explosive device was later found outside of Evelpidon. Investigative actions of employees of the department for the disposal of explosive objects continue, writes newsbeast.gr. The surrounding area is being explored. One of the drones is up in the air EL.AS. Updated information will be provided later.
