Attacks of aggressive dogs on people have become more frequent. After an incident with a dog attacking a three-year-old boy in Larisa, who received minor injuries, a 14-year-old boy became the victim.
It happened in one of the villages of Etoloakarnania. The child with head injuries is being treated at the Patras Children’s Hospital, and the animal’s owner has been arrested.
According to the publication in.gr, the incident occurred on Monday afternoon in the Amorgiana region, when a teenager who had arrived in the village to visit relatives went to the yard to feed the chickens. At that moment, a dog attacked him, as a result of which the child received injuries to various parts of the body, but mainly the head and face were injured.
In addition to the boy, a 56-year-old man was attacked by the same dog, who rushed to save him. The man’s injuries were minor, he was given first aid at a local medical center.
Police officers from the Department of Empesos arrested the owner of the dog, against whom a case was opened for causing bodily harm by his pet. The 37-year-old owner will be brought before the competent District Attorney Agrinio.
