Can Putin’s daughter take his place?

The media speculate that Putin is preparing to hand over power to his daughter, Katerina Tikhonova. Her new position, most likely, is a new springboard to the state apparatus.

Katerina Tikhonova, the alleged daughter of the Russian president, recently became co-chair of the coordinating council for import substitution at the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), media reported.

As writes BB.LV, the activity of the coordinating council is to develop practices substitution imported equipment by Russian counterparts. Or, to put it simply, the youngest daughter of the head of the Russian Federation will control the flow of banned Western goods to Russia through third countries, since Vladimir Putin legalized parallel imports bypassing Western sanctions that were introduced after the invasion of Ukraine.

The new ambitious position of Tikhonova, apparently, is another springboard to the state apparatus, which was rumored at the end of May. This may be the first step towards a larger-scale appointment of Catherine – to the post of head of the United Russia party.

Earlier, the media noted that Putin feels that his inner circle is dissatisfied with him. In this situation, it is quite logical that he wants to rely on someone who will never betray him.

Our publication wrote that for the first time the United States imposed sanctions against family members Russian President Vladimir Putin. Two of his adult daughters were on the sanctions list.
