A new subsidy program for gas heating installations for the summer of 2022 has been launched

The new Attica Gas Distribution Company (EDA Attica) gas heating installation subsidy program comes into force.

The grant program concerns new connections to central or autonomous gas heating for houseslocated in the existing gas distribution network.

The EDA Attica subsidy program covers part of the costsrelated to devices and accessories necessary for the conversion of an existing heating installation from another type of energy to the appropriate use of natural gas. The grant amount starts from 600 euros for individual apartments and cottages, for the installation of central heating in an apartment building can reach 3,500 euros.

The new subsidy program applies to connection contracts, which will be submitted to EDA Attica along with the corresponding subsidy request from July 19 until the available budget is exhausted, but no later than September 9, 2022. All consumers continue to enjoy up to 100% discount on connection fees valid for the current year.

PS From personal experience I can say that on average the cost of installing individual gas heating is 2000-4000 euros per 1 point. Of these, equipment and materials are about 1200 euros, the rest is work and certification, without which your gas water heater will not be allowed to operate. It is also worth noting that in the case of installing an individual system, you can get permission to install a gas stove, which will save your family budget, since so far a gas stove is cheaper to operate than an electric one.
