Parents of deceased teenager against Rhodes hospital doctors – lawsuit filed

The parents of 16-year-old Lefteris, who died of a high temperature, filed a lawsuit against the staff of the Rhodes hospital.

The teenager was taken to the hospital with a high fever. However, doctors limited themselves to antipyretics and sent him home. The complaint states that the doctors did not even bother to give him a blood test that would have shown the presence of staphylococcus aureus in the blood.

The boy’s condition worsened, he was again brought to the Rhodes hospital, and then, due to the severity of the situation, he was immediately taken to the Agia Sophia Children’s Hospital, where he died.

Family lawyer Marika Krikopoulou is outraged:

“It is impossible that the doctors did not take into account the medical examinations that his mother conducted. The boy underwent 4 surgeries. The hospital was negligent twice when Lefteris was brought there.”

The lawsuit has been filed against all responsible persons in the hospital of Rhodes, according to Regarding the investigation into the incident, ordered by the Ministry of Health, Krikopoulou said that the results were not made public, possibly due to a lack of leadership at the Rhodes hospital.

A Patrakh 49-year-old man died of a heart attack under the walls of the hospital. A man with signs of a heart attack went to the city hospital “Άγιος Ανδρέας”. However, there … there was no doctor on duty, since the hospital was not on duty that day, and the man was sent to another medical institution. However, the man was not destined to get to her – when he went out into the street, he died. Relatives of the deceased claim that he told doctors about acute pain, indicating a heart attack, but doctors ignored calls for help.
