Over the past six days in Spain, 360 people have died due to excessive heat. On July 15 alone, 123 people died.
According to the Carlos III Health Institute of the Spanish Ministry of Health, the extreme heat set in on July 10. The thermometer did not want to fall below 45 degrees, reports EuropaPresshundreds of citizens of the country could not stand the extreme temperatures.
Spain’s state meteorological agency has raised the weather alert level across most of the country to yellow (danger) and orange (high danger). In some regions, this indicator is set to red, the highest level, indicating extreme danger.
