The 59-year-old woman worked in two large companies, from which she “stole” almost a million euros. She hid from the authorities, changing her place of residence and changing her appearance (including dyed her hair).
Nevertheless, “no matter how much the rope twists …”. In general, when the criminal decided that they had already forgotten about her, retribution came. The police arrested her in the Thissio area. The red-haired accountant who stole 880,000 euros through e-banking was discovered and arrested by Attica Security’s tracing department after 10 years of searching.
The woman has been convicted since 2010 on charges of embezzlement and sentenced to ten years in prison. But she managed to hide from the prosecutor’s office and constantly change her location. In previous years, she lived in various places and regularly dyed her hair for disguise, quietly spending embezzled funds, without denying herself anything.
However, yesterday morning (July 14) the authorities found her in the area of Thissio, on the pedestrian street of Apostolou Pavel, and … handcuffed her.
