Fire on Real FM: a fight against freedom of speech?

Today at dawn a fire broke out in Real FM. The remains of gas cylinders were found at the entrance. In a Twitter post, journalist Nikos Hatzinikolaou stated:

“They set fire to Real FM! They are burning us! Three explosions and now we are burning… They are burning us! They are trying to shut us down!” The sound engineer on duty was hospitalized for examination and prophylaxis.

The flame broke out at dawn in a building on Kifisias Avenue in Maroussi, where the Real FM radio station is located. The fire was brought under partial control, the remains of gas cylinders were found at the entrance, writes Radio station reporter Yannis Papagiannis says:

“It’s a total disaster. The employees are sad, I don’t think there is anyone who agrees that the free press is closed. Radio stations should be free to post, to comment. What we see saddens all of us and those from us who are part of the Real Group. It’s 300 employees. Obviously someone was trying to silence us, someone didn’t want to be heard. Three explosions occurred at about 3:05 am. A colleague who was a shift sound engineer, She is in good health and is being treated at the hospital as a precautionary measure.”
