The visa centers of Greece in Russia have changed the conditions for obtaining a visa – now you can submit documents for it only if the trip is scheduled for the next two to three weeks.
The announcement about this was published on July 7 on the website of the operator of Greek visa centers in Russia Global Visa Center World.
The innovation means that GVCW offices, which are under Moscow jurisdiction, will primarily serve applicants with the closest departure dates. Today, for example, these are those wishing to travel before July 21st. This applies to the cities: Vologda, Vladivostok, Voronezh, Yekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Kazan, Kaliningrad, Krasnoyarsk, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Samara, Saratov, Smolensk, Ufa, Khabarovsk. In other Russian regions, they serve those whose travel date is set for the period until July 24.
If the date of visiting the EC is already scheduled earlier, and the trip is scheduled for a later date than indicated in the announcement of the department, then you should reschedule the visit to the center by contacting the company. As an explanation, it is said that the change in the situation is due to a shortage of employees, writes GreekReporter. Noting, however, that problems with paperwork in the consular offices of Greece arise far from the first time.
Earlier, our publication informed that the Consulate General of Greece in Moscow resumed work visa and civil departments, as the secretary of the Greek embassy in Russia, Despina Nikolaidou, said: “We are working as always. We had a problem because [что] our employees leave. But now everything is fine.”
Nevertheless, tour operators warn Russian tourists that the reduction of employees of Greek consular offices in the Russian Federation may lead to change terms and conditions. And experts predict that the number of single-entry visas may increase for certain travel dates. ATOR analysts advise to be extremely careful when filling out the documents so as not to be denied a visa, but having received it, go to Greece.
