Airport flooded with blue basins

A very unpleasant picture, which can be seen only in one European airport, was observed by visitors to “Macedonia” (Thessaloniki).

While Greece’s airports are flooded with millions of tourists, situations are unfolding at Macedonia Airport that certainly don’t fit the profile that the Balkans’ iconic city of Thessaloniki wants to portray.

And this is because a severe storm that has hit the wider region in the past few days has caused roof leaks in the buildings of Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 of the airport. Workers began to actively clean up the water that got inside the airport.

In conversation with ThessToday.gr passengers emphasize that such images are recorded both in the arrivals and departures areas, while, according to information, water drips from the ceiling even in the new building of the airport (which has not yet been put into operation).

It is noted, however, that this is not the first time such a picture has been observed in Macedonia, as passengers claim that every time it rains in Thessaloniki, they find that the interior of the airport is filled with … blue basins of rainwater.
