What assistance was provided to Ukraine by Western countries in financial terms

Western countries have promised Ukraine 80.7 billion euros in military assistance, but only 10 of them, as of today, have fully fulfilled their obligations.

This is written by the German edition Bild with reference to a study by the Kiel Institute for the World Economy.

Poland is the leader in the supply of military assistance to Ukraine: it provided 100% of the promised weapons worth 1.8 billion euros (this is 15.8% of the country’s defense budget.). In absolute terms, this is the second place after the United States, which provided arms for 2.33 billion euros (38.4%) of the promised 6.3 billion (3.3% of OB).

In addition to Poland, Latvia (220 million euros), France (160 million euros), Italy (150 million euros), Belgium (80 million), Luxembourg (50 million), Finland (30 million), Slovenia 10 million, fully fulfilled their obligations, Austria (3.3 million) and Bulgaria (3.5 million).

In absolute terms, after the US and Poland, the leaders in military assistance to Ukraine are the UK (90.7% of the promised 1.12 billion euros) and Canada (82.5% of the promised 920 million euros). In terms of percentage – Estonia (promised 250 million euros, provided 98% – this is 32.1% of the total defense budget of the country), Norway (450 million, fulfilled 96% (7.3% of OB), Czech Republic (260 million, fulfilled 88 .9% -9.1% OB), the Netherlands (80 million, completed 84.9% – 0.7% OB), Lithuania (50 million, completed 82.6% – 5.2% OB) followed by Slovakia (8.2% ROI), Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Australia As for Germany, out of the promised 675 million euros of military assistance, it provided Ukraine with 269 million euros, i.e. 39.9%, followed by New Zealand (31% of 3.6 million euros), Greece (5.8% of 250 million – 5.4% of the defense budget).

South Korea, Portugal, Romania and Croatia have not yet provided Ukraine with the promised assistance. The researchers warn that arms shipments to Ukraine have slowed since early June compared to previous months. The volumes of weapons promised to Kyiv during this period also decreased.
