In broad daylight, armed criminals robbed the workshop, and when they left, they “took” its owner with them.

The unprecedented incident took place on Friday afternoon in the Nea Eukarpia area of Thessaloniki. Having kidnapped the owner of the workshop, the robbers later threw him out of the car – the 33-year-old man was hitchhiking.

As writes grtimes.gr, one of the robbers entered the store and tried to open the cash register. The owner’s son, who noticed him, exclaimed: “Robber!” The buyer who was on the street tried to detain the criminal and tripped him, after which he fell and hit his head.

The son of the business owner caught the robber, but a black van was waiting for him outside the store, where the robber managed to drag the owner’s son during the struggle. The fight continued inside the car, but there were accomplices of the criminal, and the forces were unequal. The car disappeared, later the criminals threw the owner’s son onto the road. The criminals managed to escape with the stolen money. According to the owner, “he opened the cash register and took everything that was inside.”
