As a result of a missile attack on a shopping center in Kremenchug, a strong fire broke out, many were killed and injured. This could be the biggest tragedy since the start of the war in Ukraine.
Eyewitnesses report about a strong fire and a lot of ambulances near the shopping center. People’s Deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko wrote on Telegram: “Kremenchug. Arrival in a very crowded place. Fire. Photos, videos are not published. All hope is for rescuers and doctors. There are a lot of dead.”
The head of the regional military administration, Dmitry Lunin, said: “In Kremenchug, a civilian object was hit. Unfortunately, there are victims. More details will come soon.”
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky quotes “UP”:
“The occupiers fired missiles at the shopping center, where there were more than a thousand civilians. The mall is on fire, rescuers are putting out the fire, the number of victims is unimaginable. No threat to the Russian army. No strategic value. Only people’s attempt to live a normal life, which angers the occupiers so much. Russia continues to take out its impotence on ordinary citizens. It is useless to hope for adequacy and humanity on its part.”
