The white tower in the colors of the rainbow: parade of sexual minorities in Thessaloniki

The White Tower (Λευκός Πύργος) was lit up in the colors of the LOATKI+ and Thessaloniki Pride community after the end of the parade, which brought together thousands of gay supporters.

According to GRTimes, the White Tower was the first building in Greece to be illuminated with rainbow colors ten years ago.

The parade (Thessaloniki Pride) ended at about 21:00 at the walls of the tower, after which a concert was held with the participation of Katerina Stikudi. However, earlier episodes of assault were recorded. Tensions escalated when minors attacked parade participants and burned colorful LOATKI+ flags.

Police squads arrived at the scene, the troublemakers were detained. According to information Voria.grthe authorities prosecuted a 14-year-old teenager.
