The head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Kirill, fell during a service in Novorossiysk, where he consecrated the temple.
Slipping on the damp marble floor, Patriarch Kirill was unable to keep his balance and fell. They immediately rushed to help him and helped him up. The Russian patriarch assured that the fall did not harm him and there were no consequences:
“The fact that I fell today doesn’t mean anything. It’s just that the floor is beautiful, you can look into it – it’s so shiny and smooth. But when water falls on it, even holy water, the laws of physics work. I rolled so unsuccessfully on this beautiful floor But, by the grace of God, without any consequences.”
The Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church noted, writes RIA Newsthat because of this incident everyone will remember this day, and added that he himself will also remember it, but “with joy, thanksgiving” to all who built the temple.
It is noted that the video of the incident hastened to be removed from YouTube and the website of the Orthodox Soyuz TV channel. At the time of writing, it was still in the public domain.
