Days of Ukrainian Art in Athens as part of an international art project "Ukraine is Rising"

June 26 at 16:00, in the gallery “Ελληνογαλλικος Συνδεσμος” (Pl. Filikis Eterias 2) in Athens, an exhibition of Ukrainian artists will open.

The exhibition will present the works of prominent representatives of different art schools in Ukraine. In total, 49 works of painting and arts and crafts are presented. Exhibitors:

  • – People’s Artist of Ukraine Kozyuk Volodymyr, Vinnitsa;
  • – Honored Artist of Ukraine Shishman Ivan, Izmail;
  • – Zlata Shishman, member of the National Union of Artists, Izmail/Odessa;
  • – Sergey Kovalenko, member of the National Union of Artists, Kharkov;
  • – Vadim Suvorov, Odessa;
  • – Sergey Kostov, member of the National Union of Artists, Reni;
  • – Irina Kalyuzhnaya (Tagirtsa), member of the Youth Association of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, Izmail (Odessa);
  • – Inna Ostrovskaya, member of the National Union of Artists, Odessa;
  • – Evgenia Bozhko, member of the National Union of Artists, Odessa;
  • – Mikhail Spornik, member of the National Union of Artists, Odessa;
  • – Oksana Boyko, member of the Youth Association of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, Kharkov city;
  • – Bogdan Kuzov, member of the National Union of Artists, Ivano-Frankivsk;
  • – Orest Kuzov, member of the National Union of Artists, Ivano-Frankivsk;
  • – Bogdan Makarenko, member of the National Union of Artists, Kyiv;
  • – Dmitry Kravets, member of the National Union of Artists, Kamenetz-Podolsky;
  • – Anna Susharnik-Kravets, member of the National Union of Artists, Kamenetz-Podolsky;
  • – Vladislav Zadvorsky, member of the National Union of Artists, Irpin;
  • – Yaroslav Leonets, member of the National Union of Artists, Kharkov;
  • – Nikolay Yatsurak, Kolomyia;
  • – Tatyana Glyadchenko, member of the Fashion Union of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, Vyzhnitsa; Ilya Shinkaryuk, Vyzhnitsa.

Also, viewers can see some of the prints from the International project “Come back alive”, the work of the finalists of the international children’s exhibition “Ukraine will blossom” and beaded Easter eggs made by the sisters-masters of the St. Archangel Michael Convent in Odessa.

It is time to present our unique and original culture of Ukraine, and in these difficult times for our country to create a revival and popularization of our culture. The funds that will be received from the sale of paintings will go to help people affected by the hostilities, as well as to develop Ukrainian culture. Because it is culture that is the face of a country in the world, it is something that does not die even for centuries, says the project curator Zlata Shishman.
