Paul McCartney celebrates his 80th birthday in Mykonos

Paul McCartney, one of the two living legends of The Beatles, turned 80 and chose Mykonos to celebrate with his family before performing on stage at the Glastonbury History Festival in the United Kingdom.

According to Daily mail, the camera captured him on a luxury yacht with wife Nancy Shevell, daughters Stella and Mary. According to the report, they enjoyed the Greek hospitality, the sea and the amazing beaches of the island. The Beatles legend, dressed simply in a white shirt and dark pants, looked pleased as he unwrapped his birthday presents. Many celebrities congratulated him on his 80th birthday on social media, such as Ringo Starr and Yoko Ono.

Paul was born in Liverpool in 1942 to nurse Mary McCartney and cotton merchant James McCartney, who was also a jazz pianist in local bands. At the age of 14, the young man lost his mother. He is considered to be the artist with the largest number of people at one concert.

In 1997, he received the title of sir from Queen Elizabeth, and in 2012 – the title of Chevalier of the Legion of Honor from the former President of the French Republic, Francois Hollande.
