The number of coronavirus cases in Greece rose to 12,537 in the past 24 hours, health authorities said on Tuesday.
There are 14 Covid-related deaths in the same period, and 96 intubated coronavirus patients in hospital intensive care units.
The numbers on Monday, June 20th were:
4832 cases, 12 deaths, 97 intensive care units. 5274 PCR tests, 28 393 RAPIDs. Positive PCR+RAPID 14.35%.
Several health experts in the country are warning of a new round of the pandemic in the summer due to the sub-options Omicron 4 and Omicron 5. The National Health Organization (EODY) said on Tuesday that all confirmed infections since the start of the pandemic are 3,562,524 (daily change: +0.3%).
Of the daily total re-infections evaluated in 1921 over the past 24 hours, and their total number since the beginning of the pandemic is estimated at 151,118 (4.1% of the total number of positive results).

14 deaths have been recorded in the last 24 hours resulting in the total number of victims of the pandemic in the country reached 30,115 people. Of these, 95.7% had an underlying disease and/or were 70 years of age or older.
On ventilators in hospitals are 96 patients with Covid-19. Their average age is 70 years, and 92.7% have an underlying disease and/or are 70 years of age or older. Of the total intubated, 46 (47.92%) were unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, and 50 (52.08%) were fully vaccinated.
Since the start of the pandemic, 4,713 patients have been discharged from intensive care units.
134 Covid patients were hospitalized in the last 24 hours (daily change +4.69%). The average number of hospitalizations of patients with Covid-19 in the last 7 days was 138.
The median age of new infections is 37 years (range 0.2 to 112 years) and the median age of deaths is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
