The streets of Thessaloniki were filled with naked cyclists who took part in the 15th naked bike ride.
Hundreds of people took part in the event, which was held in the city center under the slogan: “It’s time to end the obscene exposure of people and the planet to pollution and violence.” In the announcement of the bike ride there was a call:
“Come naked as far as you dare and without motorized vehicles. Participation is free.”
The participants gathered near the Faculty of Philosophy of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. It should be noted that more than 70 cities in the world participate in the international self-organized movement International Naked Bike Ride. Since 2008, the event has also been held in Greece. It is accompanied by concerts and other events.
The holiday aims to popularize the bicycle as a means of transportation and mobility, speaking out against pollution by cars. Participants stand for impeccable ecology and reunification with nature, a world without violence, vegetarianism, human and animal rights, equality and diversity, freedom and naturalness of the naked body.
