The immediate mobilization of motorcyclists of Group Z (Ομάδας Ζ) of Thessaloniki’s Immediate Response Authority led to the red-handing of an 18-year-old Greek man who had carried jewelry from a house in the Harilau area.
Yesterday at noon, a young man, under the pretext that his clothes had fallen on the balcony of the house where the 67-year-old Greek woman lives, entered there and took out jewelry worth about 18,000 euros.
As a result of further investigation by the police of the local security department, it turned out that the aforementioned man, together with another person, committed a total of eight thefts in the Analipsi and Kharilau regions from the end of April 2021 to the end of May 2021, from where they took money and jewelry.
The detainee, with the materials of the case against him, will be taken to the competent prosecutor’s office. Law enforcement agencies in Greece are warning citizens to be careful and not trust strangers, as various cases of fraud and theft have increased in recent times.
