The father of the British Prime Minister very often chooses Pelion for his holidays.
This year, once again, he is preparing to visit Greece. Municipality of South Pelion prepares to declare him an honorary citizen. The decision was made by a majority vote in the city council, which took place at the suggestion of Mayor Michalis Mitzikou, who had friendly relations with a British diplomat and politician.

The inauguration ceremony for Stanley Johnson as an Honorary Citizen of South Pelion will take place on Friday, June 24, 2022 at 1:30 pm, the day of the inauguration of the new South Pelion City Hall, by Metropolitan Mr. Ignatios of Demitriados and Almyros.
