North Korean leader Kim Jong-un yesterday congratulated Russian President Vladimir Putin on Russia Day and expressed “full support” for the special operation in Ukraine.
The head of the DPRK sent a congratulatory telegram to the Russian leader, the Yonhap news agency reported, citing the Central News Agency of Korea. In a message, writes “New newspaper. Europe”says:
“Under your leadership, the Russian people, bravely overcoming the challenges and difficulties encountered, achieve great success in doing a just cause to protect the dignity, security and rights to the development of the country, to which our people give full support.”
The North Korean leader noted that he appreciates the “long history, tradition of friendship and good neighborliness” of the Russian and Korean peoples, and is going to “expand and develop them in accordance with the dictates of the new era and the aspirations of the peoples of the two countries.” In conclusion, he wished good health to Putin and well-being to the Russians.
Kim Jong-un also expressed confidence that relations between the DPRK and Russia, which entered a new phase after the first meeting of the leaders of the two countries in April 2019 in Vladivostok, will continue to “dynamically develop”, writes RIA News.
