Thessaloniki: 300 kg of cocaine arrived from Latin America in a container with bananas

In the most common container with bananas, which arrived at the port of Thessaloniki, prosecutors found 300 kg of cocaine, the value of which reaches 13 million euros.

Greek authorities handcuffed four Englishmen who allegedly had information about the arrival of cocaine. However, this huge amount is estimated to be only a fraction of the total cargo flowing from Latin America to be redirected to various countries around the world.

The anti-narcotics prosecutor’s office is looking for a connection between the 300-kilogram cargo and the giant cargo (654 kg of cocaine) that was discovered by Italian authorities last April in the Italian port of Gioia Tauro in Calabria, the publication reports. iefimerida.gr.
