The baths are located northeast of Kythnos and have become famous for the thermal springs that have been flowing in this place since ancient times and have healing properties.
These are the “therms” (λουτρά) of Cythnos and perhaps the only ones in the Cyclades that have similar characteristics. The balneological resort is one of the most popular places on the island. dikaiologitika.gr.
An amphitheatrically built village, a welcoming marina and a beach with taverns and cafes – this is all that can be seen at a glance. But upon closer inspection, a hydrotherapy center opens up, the work of which was completed in 1857 by order of private doctors brought from Germany by King Otto.
A few kilometers after Loutra (Λουτρά), but within the same bay, is the picturesque settlement of Agia Irini with the church of the same name and a small port that went down in history from the unflattering events of modern Greece, known as “Kitnyaka” (“Κυθνιακά”).
The shallow beach with the natural shade of the tamarisk trees is suitable for families with small children.
