The Russian Air Force carried out the suppression of air defense in Ukraine with four Su-57

Russia said it used four networked Su-57 fighter jets to suppress Ukrainian air defenses in the Donbas, Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported.

“The fighters used a network of real-time data transmission, navigation and target designation,” Russian military sources quoted RIA as saying.

According to the Russians, during the operation, a reduced (that is, not quite inconspicuous?) trace on the radar of the Su-57 enemy was confirmed. According to Moscow, the Su-57 is a fifth-generation aircraft with stealth technology, similar to the American F-22 and F-35.

However, its stealth, according to American experts, has many flaws, in addition, the aircraft encountered huge problems in the process of launching it into a series. Su-57 is a fifth-generation Russian multirole fighter. The development of the aircraft was carried out by the Sukhoi company.

According to the developers, the machine is designed to effectively hit all types of air, ground and surface targets. It develops supersonic cruising flight speed, is equipped with in-fuselage armament, radar-absorbing coating, has the latest set of on-board equipment.

It is not reported at the moment what kind of aviation ammunition (missiles) were used by the latest Russian fighters. It is believed that Su-57s were previously used in Ukraine, but individually or in pairs, and were never connected to the network. According to Western sources, the Russian Air Force also has at least 12-20 operational aircraft of this model.

RIA News informsthat the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation signed a contract for the supply of 76 aircraft to the Aerospace Forces at the Army-2019 forum, despite the fact that initially mass deliveries to the troops were planned to begin as early as 2019. However, the aircraft scheduled for delivery crashed during flight tests in the Khabarovsk Territory. In May 2020, Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov said that three air regiments would be fully equipped with the ordered aircraft, but did not specify the exact delivery dates.
