The meteorologists who warned of a sudden change in the weather were right. Bad weather showed itself in all its glory on the afternoon of Monday June 6 in Thessaloniki.
Heavy hail and a storm “hit” the northern capital of Greece, and the size of the hail was almost the size of a walnut, which created many problems. In the center of Thessaloniki, a tree collapsed onto the roadway, almost crushing a vehicle. By sheer chance, two women who had just got into a taxi in the center of Thessaloniki, in Kamara, escaped death. Heavy rain with hail, combined with storm wind, uprooted a tree that fell next to the car, literally a few centimeters away! The tree, as seen in the video, scratched the taxi, damaged the passenger seat and the right mirror. Fortunately no one was hurt.
