Fire in Voula and Vari: shocking drone video


The fire in Voula and Vari, which started with Ano Glyfada, not only burned houses and cars, but also caused great damage to the environment.

The first big summer fire this year scorched large areas on Mount Immitos, which was captured on drone video. According to the fire department, the fixation of damage and burnt areas began from the first hours after firefighters took control of the fire.

Also requested is the activation of the European Copernicus satellite system to map the affected area. According to a MEGA report, 2,430 hectares were burned in Voula and Ano Glyfada as a result of a large fire on Saturday in the southern suburbs.

The mayors of the two districts blame each other for who should have been in charge of preventive weed clearance, and residents of the district speak of an indirect reaction from the authorities, which the fire department denied, saying that it was at the scene of the fire 12 minutes after the alert.

As we reported earlier, on Saturday at about 13:00 in the area of ​​Ano Glyfada and Panorama Voula arose firewhich spread throughout the region in a matter of hours.

By evening, the fire from Ano Glyfada reached the fashionable Panorama Voulas area, where the flames penetrated the territory of the courtyards of houses, and in some cases even inside them.
