The maximum stay is six nights (with a small surcharge by individuals). On the islands of Kos, Leros, Lesbos, Samos, Chios and Evros prefecture, 10 nights are provided (no surcharge).

As part of the measures to support fire-affected areas, the maximum overnight stay in the municipalities of Istiaia-Edipsos and Mantoudi-Limni-Ag.Anna (Evia) is 12 nights.

Beneficiaries who have already holidayed in one of the accommodation locations (in the municipalities mentioned above) without having exhausted 12 nights can sign a new holiday contract at any time before the end of the program on July 31, 2022.

The procedure is as follows:

Interested beneficiaries, after consulting with the provider to book a room, should contact the Employment Promotion Center (KPA2) of Chalkida (Email address is being protected from spambots. Javascript must be enabled in your browser to view the address. 22210-25081, 22210-60303) and indicate your intention to book a specific accommodation. KPA2 Chalkida will inform the supplier in writing of the number of nights the beneficiary may stay at the hotel.

A new private contract will be signed and sent by the service provider along with the arrival notification form (on the day of arrival). For more information, interested persons can visit the website http://www.oaed.gr/koinonikos-tourismos.

Spyros Protopsaltis, head of the former ΟΑΕΔ, and now the State Employment Service, spoke about the conditions for participation in the social tourism program.

The social tourism program starts on August 1 and will last until July 31 next year. Those who still have checks from the 2021-2022 program in their hands should hurry to use them before July 31.

The social tourism program is available to those who had at least 50 days of work in the previous year 2021 or received 50 insurance days from the ΟΑΕΔ special allowance for maternity protection, or received 50 days of unemployment subsidy, or have a combination of all of the above.

As Protopsaltis notes, when the platform opens for applications in early June, it will be preliminarily modified, as the authorities increased its budget from 30 million to 35 million.
