Today the first base salary of 713 euros has been accrued

Today, the first basic salary of 713 euros has been accrued, Kyriakos Mitsotakis said in a post on the social network.

This is another step “of many that have yet to be taken and will be taken” to make life easier for workers, the prime minister said.

From May 1, the minimum wage has increased to 713 euros, which means an increase in the net earnings of employees by 50 euros per month. The basic daily wage increased from 29.62 euros to 31.85 euros. Which, according to the Ministry of Labor, corresponds to 1 additional salary per year (considering that 14 salaries are paid per year, not 12).

The increase “dragged” with it an increase in unemployment benefits, which rose from 407.25 to 438 euros from 1 June.

“Today, the first basic salary of 713 euros, increased by 50 euros per month, has been accrued. This is a 10% increase on the minimum wage,” Mr. Mitsotakis wrote in his post.
