On Monday, May 30, a telephone conversation took place between the President of Russia Vladimir Putin and the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The Turkish leader is due to have a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Zelensky on the same day.
According to Erdogan, Turkey is ready to organize a meeting in Istanbul between Russia, Ukraine and the UN, as well as to take part in a possible observation mission in Ukraine if Moscow and Kyiv reach an agreement. He said this in a telephone conversation with the President of Russia, reports Haber Global. Erdogan also called for steps to be taken to minimize the negative effects of hostilities and build confidence between the parties.
