The three-day weekend falls on June 11, 12 and 13. That is, the day of the Holy Spirit is added to Saturday and Sunday – a Christian holiday that is celebrated the day after the Holy Trinity, and is non-working in Greece.

Because of the fine weather, many have opted to spend the three days of the Holy Spirit on one of the country’s islands, but there are also continental tourist destinations that are just as attractive and are expected to welcome out-of-town visitors.

“Tourist property booking rates may not reach 80% and 90% at the moment, but we should note that as we approach the three-day period, a further increase in demand will be recorded. There is a big dynamic in the real estate industry right now, that is, there is a big demand for properties available for rent through short-term rental platforms (virtually the same ones that were reserved by citizens during the Easter and May Day periods),” says Themistoklis Bakas, president of E-Real Estates.

More properties became available on short-term rental platforms

There are more real estate registrations on short-term rental platforms. In particular, in Kalamata, out of 541 registered homes on short-term rental platforms on May Day, according to AirDNA, there are 616 today, which means an increase of 13.86%. An increase in the number of registrations was recorded in Nafplio by 8.17% and in the prefecture of Ilia by 21.59%.

1) Kalamatas
According to AirDNA, 616 properties (541 as of May Day) are registered on short-term rental platforms. The availability of tourist properties for three days from 10.06 to 13.06 is 258. Pre-booking reaches 58%, and 3 nights will cost from €205 to €287. The upper price refers to a 160 sqm house with 3 bedrooms.

2) Leonidio – Tyros
In the municipality of South Kynuria, 290 properties (full apartments and / or houses) are registered on short-term rental platforms (257 on May Day). Pre-booking in Leonidio/Tyros is 75% and there are currently 74 houses available for rent.

3) Nafplion
In Nafplion, 278 (257 objects for the New Year) are registered on short-term rental platforms (apartments and / or whole houses) for three days, 70 are available. The cost for 3 nights ranges from €293 to €587. The pre-booking rate reaches 75%. A house of 70 sq.m at a distance of 450 m from the center is rented for 293€, a house of 120 sq.m at a distance of 2.1 km from the center for 330€, and a house of 100 sq.m at a distance of 200m from the center for 587€ for three days.

4) Nafpaktos
The pre-booking rate is as high as 70%, with only 41 homes out of 144 (89 on May Day) listed on short-term rental platforms available. The cost for 3 overnight stays ranges from €163 to €331. A 65 m² house 500 m from the center is rented for 163 €, a 91 m² house 700 m from the center is rented for 276 € and a 58 m² house 100 m from the center is rented for 359 €.

5) Elis Prefecture
The dynamics of the Peloponnese prefecture in short-term rental sites is 321 (264 on May Day), and bookings for three days of May Day were 63%. The cost of renting for three nights is from €199 to €273. In Skafidia, a house with an area of ​​60 sq. m is rented for 199 euros, in Katakolo a house of 65 sq. m – for 219 euros, and in Kyllini a house of 45 sq. m – for 273 euros.

6) Kamena Vourla/Agios Konstantinos

Due to the low dynamics of registered objects on short-term sites, advance booking for three days on 10/6-13/6 reaches 71%. Prices for 3 nights in houses of 80-120 sqm in Agios Konstantinos range from 273€ to 331€ for three days, while prices for renting a house in Kamena Vourla (40-50 sqm) range from 145€ to 235 €.
