According to the Greek Minister of Development and Investment, the new US ambassador to Greece is “not just a Greek-American, but a Greek who has worked all his life for the benefit of the Greek/USA friendship and cooperation.”
New US Ambassador to Greece George Tsunis met with Minister of Development and Investment Adonis Georgiadis on Tuesday. Georgiadis posted a photo from the sidelines of the meeting at the US Embassy on his Twitter account.

“Today I went to @USEmbassyAthens to say hello to a friend I’ve known for years. @USAmbassyGR is not just a Greek of American origin, but also a Greek who has worked all his life for the benefit of Greece/USA friendship and cooperation. This will go down in history,” said the Minister of Development and Investment.
The photograph can be described in the following words: the prim and strict campaigner Pyatt was replaced by “his shirt-guy.” As they say in Odessa, “we will see” what this will bring to Greece, and who the new US ambassador will actually be for the relations between the two countries.
