Those tourists who want to visit charming Venice in the summer will have to pre-register. You will need to book a trip from July this year.

The “impressed” authorities decided to turn into reality the idea that first appeared in 2019 – to regulate the flow of tourists to the fabulous city on the water. Italian media have already reported that the restrictive measure will come into effect in July. Tourists will need to plan a trip to Venice in advance, register on a special platform and receive a QR code as confirmation. RIA News.

By the way, from January 2023 you will also have to pay a special tourist tax, from 3 to 10 euros per person. The exact amount depends on the day of the week and the season. In addition to those who work in the city, tourists staying in a Venetian hotel for the night will be exempted from this payment.

Representatives of the industry are sure that the measures introduced will not scare away tourists who want to visit one of the most beautiful Italian cities. In addition, you no longer need to present vaccination certificates and do PCR tests to enter the country.
