Due to provocations in Transnistria EU made a statement. Josep Borrell noted that the situation is detrimental to Moldova’s security.
On April 29, the head of European Union diplomacy urged all parties to avoid destabilization, writes “European Truth”:
The European Union calls on the responsible parties to avoid destabilizing the situation. We strongly welcome the restrained reaction of the authorities of the Republic of Moldova, which contributes to the preservation of calm in the country.
The EU expresses solidarity with the Republic of Moldova and reaffirms its unwavering support for its sovereignty, territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders and the special status of Transnistria.

Western media were quick to accept the view that targets were hit in Moldova, but Transnistria, after a brief civil conflict, seceded from Moldova during the collapse of the Soviet Union, back in 1990. Since then, the area has been controlled by 1,500 Russian military forces.
In Ukraine, these events are considered Russian provocations, which can mobilize the Pridnestrovians for a war against Ukraine and prepare the basis for the Russian army to attack in the Odessa direction and for an attempt to break through the “land corridor” in Pridnestrovie.
As you know, on April 22, Deputy Commander of the Central Military District of the Russian Federation, Major General Rustam Minnekaev, announced plans: the Russian army has the task of “establishing complete control over the Donbass and southern Ukraine”, noting about Transnistria that “there are facts of oppression of the Russian-speaking population by Moldova,” wrote TASS.
