What did the investigation of the authorities in relation to electronic devices seized in the house of Rula Pispirigo, the mother accused of the death of her three daughters in Patras, reveal?

A very important new element has reportedly emerged in the authorities’ investigation into the “path of ketamine” in gadgets seized as part of the investigation into the murder of 9-year-old Georgina.

According to the latest information provided by Mina Karamitru for open TV, on electronic devices, queries were found in the Google search engine – advertising of pharmaceutical substances similar to ketamine. It should be noted that requests to Google are usually linked to the user’s previous Internet searches and websites visited (so-called “cookies”).

They indicate that someone – in this case, probably the 33-year-old defendant – had previously been looking for pharmaceutical substances similar in characteristics to ketamine.

It is noted that for several days now the authorities have been in the hands of both electronic devices seized from the house of Rula Pispirigou in Patras, and a tablet that was placed in the girl’s grave her mother at the funeral. The gadget was seized during the opening of the burial.

Meanwhile, a police investigation is in full swing over the deaths of Malena and Iris, two other girls from the family who predeceased Georgina.

According to Mina Karamitru’s report, more than 15 statements have already been taken, the police have spoken to at least 25 people and intend to get statements from everyone who entered the wards where the two girls were being treated.

Toxicological examination of Iris and Malena

At the same time, the commission of forensic experts, which the prosecutor’s office instructed to draw up new forensic reports, must repeat the toxicological tests and re-examine tissue samples from 3.5-year-old Malena and 6-month-old Iris.

The purpose of the investigation, which will start from the beginning, is to shed light on the causes of death of the two young children, and in particular on whether the children died of pathological causes or were victims of a criminal act. Final results expected after Easter.

First of all, it will be established whether there were errors in the reports made after the death of the children.

Another question to be answered is whether 3.5-year-old Malena was injected with a toxic substance or not. That is, whether the lesions found in the child’s liver could have been caused by taking ketamine or some other toxic substance, reports cnn.gr.

It should be noted that the toxicological tests initially carried out on Malena showed that no toxic substances were administered to her. However, after the discovery of ketamine in the blood of 9-year-old Georgina, Malena’s case will be re-examined.

Among other things, the option will also be considered, according to which the child was injected with a toxic substance that was broken down (assimilated) by the child’s body and therefore not detected in toxicological tests. Recall that histological studies of Malena’s tissue samples revealed “kenotopic degeneration of liver cells” and “stagnation in the lungs”, which, according to some forensic experts, corresponds to death from suffocation.

Regarding the death of 6-month-old Iris, law enforcement will check whether the girl had heart problems or not. In this case, however, signs consistent with death by asphyxiation were also found.

“This is an extremely complex investigation… The full responsibility lies with the careful work of the police. As it was found, the death certificates originally issued did not cover the context, the conditions under which the children died (which in itself is hardly evidence of criminal activity). But, as in the case of Georgina, repeated toxicological tests contributed to the detection of ketamine in the child’s body, which “unblocked” the investigation and led to the arrest of Rula Pispirigo, “competent sources say.
