"puppet" minibuses for the center of Athens

Electric vehicles are gradually penetrating into urban public transport. According to OASAthe company will purchase electric minibuses to serve citizens and guests of the capital.

According to the information, 25 new electric mini-buses will run on some routes in the center of Athens in the near future.

According to Athenstransport.comthe models that will be selected are equipped with an electric drive, the body is 6 meters long, and the autonomy of movement (with a full charge) will reach 90 kilometers.

This plan to bring green public transport to the streets of the capital will be accompanied by the installation of bus chargers at OASA parking lots, and of course the necessary training of staff to ensure that vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting are completed on time.

The experience of other European cities that have adopted similar electric van programs shows that such a vehicle travels 30,000 kilometers annually, saving more than 20,000 liters of oil, which means a clear benefit to the environment.

In fact, recently, based on the aforementioned environmental benefits, some cities in France have begun to use the Rampini E60 minibus, six meters long, which can carry up to 35 people (10 seats, 24 standing plus the driver), which has a supply of “fuel” (after fully charged) for 120 km.

Romania took a similar step by purchasing Karsan 15 EV minibuses from a Turkish company, equipped with a BMW i3 electric motor with a capacity of 170 horsepower and batteries up to 88 kWh, providing an autonomy of more than 200 kilometers.
