The image of a Cretan student crushed by a wall is immortalized

In Larisa, where a young man died in an accident, graffiti appeared on the wall of the house – a portrait of the untimely deceased. The initiative was taken by the friends of a student from Crete who died as a result of the collapse of part of an old abandoned house.

It is reported that the 22-year-old boy tragically died in February 2022 from the fall of the wall of a house located in the center of Larisa. According to a local publication larissanet.gr, it all happened after the guy left the bar next door, where he had fun with a group of friends.

In particular, Nikos Bitsakis, who was returning from a party with friends, passing by an abandoned place, succumbing to a “rush of heroism”, swaggering, kicked the old door with his foot, as a result of which the rotten opening and the stonework “held on parole” collapsed and crushed him, mortally wounding.

The fire department and ambulance arrived at the scene, but it was already impossible to help him. The friends of the deceased could not recover from the untimely death of the man with whom they had just had fun.

According to information from the site creta24.gr, friends of Nikos Bitsakis, who do not want the memory of the 22-year-old to “sink into oblivion”, undertook to make graffiti in memory of him.

It was created by Nick Serman from Larissa and placed on a building located at the intersection of Oikonomou and Asklipiou streets, where a student from Crete met his tragic death.
