2. Greece – 89,800 searches per month

It’s time to make your biggest Mamma Mia fantasies come true! Greece is the second most popular country for people planning their holidays. This country offers an incredible amount of archeology, history, art and philosophy, as well as hundreds of beautiful beaches and crystal clear water – so everyone will enjoy their holidays here! 3. Maldives – 83,700 searches per month

In third place is the Maldives. Undoubtedly the most luxurious option on this list, the popularity of the stunning Indian Ocean islands has skyrocketed in recent years. White sandy beaches, turquoise blue waters and a vibrant underwater world… It’s no surprise that influencers flock to these stunning islands for vacation. 4. Spain – 74,320 searches per month

Methodology:

For this study, all 195 countries of the world were considered. The UK was excluded to have a ranking not based on the host country of the experts. The rankings were then compiled using the average number of monthly Google searches over the last 12 months, for each of the country names, combined with the following keywords: “holidays to”, “things to do in” and “flights to” to determine which countries were the most popular and in demand by travelers.
