Greece: 8 Workers of Thessaloniki Port Arrested for Trying to Prevent NATO Shipments to Ukraine

Port workers in Thessaloniki refused to participate in sending NATO military cargo to Ukraine.

Expressing their disagreement, they tried to prevent the shipment, and one of the protesters painted a military vehicle with paint. The dissatisfaction of the workers turned into clashes with the police. Their result was the detention of eleven people by law enforcement officers. After an investigation, three were released, eight people were arrested, according to GreekReporter.

Last week, on Wednesday, March 6, a rally against NATO was held in Thessaloniki. To disperse the participants, the Greek police used tear gas. As kp.ru reported, the protesters opposed the presence of NATO forces.
