An innovative electronic application for doctor appointments via gov.gr has been “opened” by the Ministries of Digital Governance and Health.
This is the finddoctors.gov.gr platform, which was implemented by Social Security Electronic Government (IDIKA SA) and launched on Wednesday 6 April this year.
Making an appointment with a doctor in four “clicks”: how finddoctors.gov.gr works
Through the platform, every citizen can make an appointment with a government agency or a private doctor certified in the Electronic Prescription System. It is very easy to do this: only the use of Taxisnet codes is required, as well as confirmation AMKA.
A citizen will choose the desired area, and then prefer either an appointment with a state structure, or with a private doctor. With pre-filled fields and selection from a list of options, with just four “clicks” a person can make an appointment with a doctor on the day and time of their choice. Then he will receive an SMS confirmation, while he can change or cancel the appointment with the doctor (no later than the previous date of the day).
Health Minister Thanos Plevris said: “Thanks to the new system, developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Government, citizens will be able to easily make appointments with primary care physicians. Our goal is to provide the best service to the patient. In cooperation with Minister of Territory and Digital Governance Kyriakos Pierrakakis, we are implementing the digital renewal of all health services.”
