Greek Foreign Ministry statement regarding the massacre of civilians in Bucha

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece issued a sharp statement regarding the killing of civilians in the city of Bucha (Ukraine).

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs unequivocally condemns the heinous crimes committed during the withdrawal of the Russian occupation troops against Ukrainian civilians in the city of Bucha, revealed yesterday, the report says, published on the website of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The perpetrators of these crimes must be held accountable. We call for the immediate investigation of the crimes and the punishment of those responsible,” the Greek Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

It is also reported that Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias will meet tomorrow, April 5, 2022, with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland.

The negotiations are expected to focus on the situation in Ukraine after the Russian invasion of the country, the strategic Greek-American partnership in all areas, as well as developments in the Eastern Mediterranean.
