An angry mob spent most of the night outside the home of a woman accused of killing her 9-year-old daughter Georgina as police investigate the suspicious deaths of the family’s two youngest girls.
The crowd, numbering about 500 people, mostly young people, continued to call for the death of the 33-year-old woman. “Hang her!”, “Give her to the people!” shouts were heard outside a house in Patras (western Peloponnese), while others urged the woman’s family to come out, threatening to lynch them.
According to reports, the mother and sister of the woman, an uncle were inside the house, and the doors, windows and shutters were closed.
That didn’t stop protesters from writing “Death to the Child Killers” on the window blinds as the crowd cheered and pulled out their smartphones to capture… a “historic” moment in a country that has abolished the death penalty since 1919.

“Smartphones as pitchforks of the 21st century” a Belgian correspondent from Greece wrote on social media.

The crowd began to gather shortly before the woman was detained on Wednesday afternoon. At first, some elderly people said that a woman should be punished by death.
The crowd at the house grew larger and larger, and the authorities were forced to deploy many police officers to keep the situation from getting out of control.
As a result, people began to disperse at about 4 am, and soon the family left the house.
Meanwhile in Athens, where the woman was transferred last night from Patras, another angry mob gathered outside the police headquarters, waiting to be taken to the coroner at the courthouse.
The woman was put on a bulletproof vest, handcuffed, and she hid her face under the huge hood of a winter jacket. Since the police feared reprisals, she was surrounded by about 10 guards.

But these measures did not prevent the crowd from yelling at her: “Bitch”, “Murderer”, “They will strangle you in prison, b@@@@@!”, “Stone to death!”, “Confess, bitch!”, – they write MEDIA.
It is reported that 33-year-old Rula Pispirigou has not given any testimony police and, according to media reports, asked investigators why she was arrested. She was given until Monday to testify.
The lawyer, who was hired by the woman after the investigation into Georgina’s death began in February, dropped his client’s defense on Thursday morning.
Meanwhile, authorities have reopened the death cases of two other girls in the family. Like us previously reported, the authorities have many questions regarding the death of children. Honorary President of the Greek Police Thanassis Katerinopoulos commented on the death of children in Patras.
“I’m talking about 100% criminal activity because the deaths happened in three different time periods. I am not a specialist scientist to know if a genetic problem has been observed in children, but the doctors themselves say that this has not been established,” said Thanassis Katerinopoulos, speaking in “Πρώτο Πρόγραμμα 91.6 και 105.8”.
“Until now, the causes of death remain unknown to doctors. So why is this family hit so hard by the three deaths? The girls died at different times in terms of age, the first (oldest) child did not die first if we assume it was a genetic disease. All the children died over the weekend. All this is not accidental, it means that something is happening here, a human hand intervened. Specialists need to give convincing answers to parents, academia and the police,” added Mr. Katerinopoulos.
The death of three girls from the Daskalakis family in Patras shocked the whole country. The main question remains open: is this family a victim of tragic circumstances, or is there something more “sinister” in the death of three children?
Note that in the coming days, a consultation will be held, which will consider 25 testimonies of doctors, nurses and individuals, in order to establish the circumstances of the death of Iris, Malena and Georgina.
“The three girls did not have any significant health problems that would have served as a basis for their death. And all this happened within about 33 months. All this is very strange, and the girls were completely different ages. In fact, before they entered this “dark period”, which coincided with problems in the family between the spouses, they did not have any health problems. As if one passed the baton of “death” to the other…”, one of the most famous cardiac surgeons noted in his report familiar with the death case. At the same time, new questions arise about little Malena’s medical record.
