The death of girls in Patras: it is 100% a crime

Honorary President of the Greek Police Thanassis Katerinopoulos commented on the death of three children in Patras.

“I’m talking about 100% criminal activity because the deaths happened in three different time periods. I am not a specialist scientist to know if a genetic problem has been observed in children, but the doctors themselves say that this has not been established,” said the honorary president of the Greek police Thanassis Katerinopoulos, speaking in “Πρώτο Πρόγραμμα 91.6 και 105.8” .

“Until now, the causes of death remain unknown to doctors. So why is this family hit so hard by the three deaths? The girls died at different times in terms of age, the first (oldest) child did not die first if we assume it was a genetic disease. All the children died over the weekend. All this is not accidental, it means that something is happening here, a human hand intervened. Specialists need to give convincing answers to parents, academia and the police,” added Mr. Katerinopoulos.

The honorary president of the Greek police shared what a British colleague, a Greek-born Scotland Yard employee who had a similar case in London, told him. A colleague called me this morning and said, “These deaths are a crime. Don’t waste time! Do you know what we found here?

“Let’s see what the University of Thessaloniki tells us if there is a substance that may have poisoned the girls. What is this substance, can it be found in the blood samples of children? Could it cause death? But even all this is not enough to do concrete conclusions. It is also the environment that was created around the girls at the time of their death, which is currently being handled by the police authorities investigating. I want to believe that there will still be guilty or innocent participants in the events,” said Mr. Katerinopoulos.

Nevertheless, Mr. Leon, who has recently appeared frequently on the channels of the Greek media, is inclined to believe that “pedophilia sometimes lies behind the deaths of children.”

Katerinopoulos: Investigation of the case will take at least 1.5-2 months

“We have all read that the police are investigating and we will get the result soon. However, not all so simple. A preliminary investigation by the police is to determine whether there are criminal acts in the death of Georgina and other children. When this preliminary stage is completed, the case will be sent to the prosecutor, and only then will a decision be made, whether unknown perpetrators or known perpetrators should be prosecuted, depending on what is found, writes iefimerida.gr.

Data from toxicology tests and any other tests that are available will be taken into account, and the second cycle of the investigation will beginif evidence of criminal activity is found. So this business will take at least 1.5-2 months. Don’t be in a hurry, because I’m already hearing about arrests. In fact, some people attributed words to me that I didn’t say. That, supposedly, Katerinopoulos said that by Wednesday we would have arrests, which I never said. It is a laborious process and it takes time,” he said, also noting that “there is pressure from the family because people really want to know what their children died of, and at the same time there is pressure from society, which is alarmed situation.”

As the honorary president of the Greek police later explained, “in the context of the preliminary investigation, if at the end of the investigation the parents are called to testify, they will be obliged to testify.” Competent investigators, he noted, carefully analyze the testimony of doctors, nurses and other people. “Perhaps we will have a conclusion that indicates the presence of some substance that caused death, then, of course, the procedures will be accelerated,” suggested Mr. Katerinopoulos.

As AN wrote earlier, new questions are raised by the medical records of three girls who died within three years, the daughters of a married couple, residents of the city of Patras.

The death of three girls from the Daskalakis family in Patras shocked the whole country. The main question remains open: is this family a victim of tragic circumstances, or is there something more “sinister” in the death of three children?

Note that in the coming days, a consultation will be held, which will consider 25 testimonies of doctors, nurses and individuals, in order to establish the circumstances of the death of Iris, Malena and Georgina.

“The three girls did not have any significant health problems that would have served as a basis for their death. And all this happened within about 33 months. All this is very strange, and the girls were completely different ages. In fact, before they entered this “dark period”, which coincided with problems in the family between the spouses, they did not have any health problems. As if one passed the baton of “death” to the other…”, one of the most famous cardiac surgeons noted in his report familiar with the death case. At the same time, new questions arise about little Malena’s medical record.

This is the position of high-ranking judicial and police sources. in.gr. According to the published information, the prosecutor’s office is particularly concerned about other details that were provided unofficially. Alarming information has emerged about how forensic and especially toxicological examinations were carried out in the first year. The source describes them as “formal” because not all substances were analyzed.

History of Malena

Speaking about the causes of death of little Malena, who ended up in a children’s hospital in 2019 and died suddenly there, the doctors are perplexed. Histological examination revealed extensive damage to the liver, which was interpreted by forensic pathologist Christina Tsakona as “liver failure”. However, both the clinical picture and the complete medical record available to the source of information (the media) do not justify the tragic outcome.

In the same report, based on the medical records of the deceased girls, there are 9 questions that the judicial and police authorities will have to answer during the investigation:

  1. Whether Malena was correctly diagnosed, and whether she ended up with chronic but acute liver failure due to drugs or other drugs taken either intravenously or orally, has not been established.
  2. What exactly was the examination for (what substances were standard toxicological tests made for) Malena.
  3. Where did the abrasion on the nose of Malena come from.
  4. Samples (cellular material) of Malena should be immediately re-examined to determine if the girl died of liver failure or was misdiagnosed.
  5. This also applies to Irida’s death. The materials must be re-examined to determine if she really had sinus agenesis or if the infant showed signs of liver failure due to medication.
  6. The results of the full (toxicological and histological) analyzes of Georgina are awaited.
  7. A general diagnosis is needed.
  8. Histologic findings should be reviewed and re-examined by the same pathologist to make a diagnosis of death for all three children.
  9. Georgina’s remains must be exhumed to retrieve and examine the pacemaker that was buried with her. Seek clinical diagnosis from physicians regarding the cause of Georgina’s cardiac arrest, which resulted in severe disability in April 2021, when there were no prior problems. It was decided to ask doctors for a clinical diagnosis of the girl’s health problems, the reasons that caused her severe disability in April 2021, while there was no pre-existing problem. Characteristically, the child was in the hospital for at least three months, and the causes of death could not remain “undiagnosed.”

It is also necessary to investigate the situation why the mother of the children, being pregnant in March 2021, decided to have an abortion, claiming that she was afraid of the birth of a child with genetic problems. However, in reality, this is not true, because, judging by the results of the genetic test conducted on her and her husband, nothing of the kind could have arisen in principle.
