10-year-old Thassos today proudly took the blue and white flag and marched, accompanied by his teacher, in the “parade” dedicated to the celebration of March 25th.
The proud procession evoked tears of joy from all those present, who applauded it wholeheartedly. The little student participating in the parade in the singular is touching. The child lives on the small Greek island of Mafraki and is very sorry that he has no friends.
We learned about the “hero” after his appearance on ERT with his mother. According to her, in winter there are only 35 inhabitants on the island. Her son, little Thassos, is the only student of the school, and all the attention of the teacher is riveted to him, reports dikaiologitika.gr.
“This is both good and bad. On the one hand, it looks like something special, but the child does not grow up among peers,” his mother complains.
