Cauliflower in batter

The Internet edition “News of Athens” continues to publish recipes from Irina Fedotova. Today we have a recipe for cauliflower in batter, cooked in a pan.

Delicious and quick dish to prepare. A batter recipe that can also be used for fish and chicken. As an addition, we make a delicious sauce.

RECIPE:

  • cauliflower 600-700 gr.
  • vegetable oil for frying

For batter we need:

  • 100 gr. flour
  • salt pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp dried garlic
  • 1 st. l. parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 120 ml. milk

For sauce:

  • – 2 tbsp. l natural yogurt
  • – 1 tbsp. l. mayonnaise
  • – 1 tbsp. l. ketchup

COOKING:

  • We divide the cauliflower into inflorescences and boil in salted water, do not digest. Drain the water and leave to cool slightly.
  • Let’s prepare the batter. To do this, mix flour, salt, pepper, paprika in a bowl. dried garlic, parsley. Add egg, milk and mix thoroughly.
  • Dip each inflorescence in batter and fry in well-heated vegetable oil until golden brown. Place on a paper towel to drain the oil.
  • We eat, sprinkled with lemon juice, or prepare the sauce by mixing natural yogurt, ketchup and mayonnaise.
