Piraeus: body of 44-year-old woman found in port

A lifeless woman was found on Sunday morning at berth E8 in the port of Piraeus.

Officers from the relevant department arrived at the scene, and the 44-year-old woman was taken by an EKAB ambulance and taken to the Piraeus Tzanio General Hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead.

The autopsy will be carried out by order of the 1st Port Authority.

The authorities are conducting a preliminary investigation and intend to establish (or refute) the connection between the death of a woman and the events that took place in the port the day before. All versions of death are considered: from natural causes, the use of illegal substances (drugs), suicide and criminal background.

As reported Athens Newsmembers of the Greek Communist Party KKE threw paint at NATO ships in the port of Piraeus.
