The educational programs of the Training Center are being implemented by the Municipality of Athens. Participants will have the opportunity to attend free training courses live or online.
According to the relevant statement from the municipality, the development of skills useful for life concerns teaching new technologies to the elderly, counseling in specialized subjects:
- confronting school bullying (advice to parents),
- internet development,
- struggle with addictions
- nutritional skills and a healthy lifestyle,
- health education/first aid,
- volunteering,
- protection against natural disasters (earthquakes, fires, floods),
- training in landscape design and interior decoration,
- photography,
- tailoring,
- providing support to refugees and displaced persons (consulting on domestic issues).
There will also be courses on entrepreneurship and tourism/cultural development, e-entrepreneurship (business), setting up a sole proprietorship, creating a website, teaching English for work (A2-B1), as well as French, German, Italian and Spanish (for use in the tourism sector), reports iefimerida.gr.
“Thanks to the programs of the Center for Continuing Education, we give our adult fellow citizens the opportunity to improve their knowledge in various fields, broaden their horizons, and find motivation for a new career orientation,” said, in particular, Athens Mayor Kostas Bakoyannis.
