The reaction of the inhabitants of Attica to the collection of humanitarian aid is impressive

From one end of Attica to the other, the municipalities mobilized to show international solidarity with the victims of the war: some in cooperation with the regional authorities, others in cooperation with the Greek Red Cross and the “Physicians of the World”.

The townspeople touchingly respond to the call for help. People of all ages flock to the municipalities, where they collect essentials and hygiene items, blankets and sleeping bags, diapers and baby clothes, and even medical supplies. Everyone offers what they can, causing the municipalities to quickly fill up with trucks.

Greek businessmen, shops and supermarkets are also contributing to this wave of solidarity. Some municipalities have already made the first deliveries to Ukraine, while others are extending the deadlines, seeing a great response from people.

In particular, the municipality of Glyfada has loaded ten trucks with essentials and the dispatch date has been set for March 8, but people have started going to the city hall since last Friday when the announcement was made.
