Burglary: burglars stole… cans of oil

Pots of vegetable oil stored in a warehouse were stolen by two natives of Georgia, who also traded in breaking into apartments, from where money and jewelry were taken out.

The perpetrators were detained by police officers of the DI.AS group shortly after the robbery of an apartment on the ground floor in Argiroupoli.

In particular, a 34-year-old man and his 32-year-old accomplice entered the apartment by breaking the door. The robbers found three thousand euros and jewelry. However, they did not have time to rejoice, as the police, who were notified of what was happening, immediately arrived at the scene and arrested the burglars.

The owner of the apartment could not get enough of the “excellent work of the guardians of order.” He was returned the money and jewelry, writes www.zougla.gr. As a result of the police investigation of the Argyroupoli-Elliniko Security Department, it was found that the “criminal duo” was also involved in the theft from the warehouses of houses in Cholargos and Agios Ioannis Rentis. From there, immigrants from Georgia took out various tools and cans of oil. According to the police, another member of the criminal group has been identified and is on the wanted list. The arrested were taken to the Prosecutor’s Office of Athens.

Meanwhile, a major theft has been recorded in Kolonaki. Unknown people broke into the apartment, located on the fourth floor, and stole about fifty thousand euros and jewelry worth half a million from the safe. Arriving at the scene of the crime, the police carried out operational actions, as a result of which samples of genetic material and fingerprints were obtained. The investigation is ongoing.
