The Greek authorities have announced the resumption of the ferry service of the Greek islands located in the northern part of the Aegean Sea with Turkish ports.
It is reported that the first such route will be launched on March 23 from the island of Chios to Chesma. From Mytilini (Lesvos) to Ayvalik, the first ferry trip is scheduled for April 14th.
Ferry service between the countries was suspended two years ago, due to the coronavirus pandemic, as well as political complications between the countries.
Without a ferry, the road from Greece to Turkey is extended many times over. In addition, the resumption of ferry traffic will significantly increase the flow of tourists who wish to spend their holidays both in Turkey and in Greece.
